Okay, enough depressing stuff. I had a nostalgia trip. The internet is awesome that way, but nostalgia trips kill a lot of time (2 hours for this trip in particular. It was worth it. If you couldn't tell by the picture to the left I was recollecting on the hours upon hours of my life I spent on watching Pokemon, playing the Pokemon card game, and playing all them Pokemon games. Man, staring at that tiny Game Boy must have done something to my head....it might have made it a little square! AHAHAHAHAHA, that was kind of brilliant....
Pokemon holds the best memories for me as a child. I remember watching all those episodes with my Sage Siblings everyday before I started attending kindergarten. My parents bought us at least 25+ VCR tapes (remember those) that we just couldn't get enough of. I think we must have watched them a couple of dozen times each (I still love them by the way). But what really stuck in my head through out my childhood (I am still going through this period of my life) was the first movie. I watched that religiously for a few years. I think I watched it at least a couple of dozen times, but when I look back to the movie I realized that it had some deep thematic elements for a kid's movie. Man, cartoons sure have changed (yes, I am referring to the pants of a sponge).

But the show has changed a bit. It is a lot more kiddy and cartoony. But I can see how Pokemon has slanted to more of a show for a 7 year old than a show for a 12 year old. I mean, back then when Pokemon first came out it was a lot more "mature" compared to what it is now. It switched from being and anime to a cartoon. Now Dear Readers you are probably wondering what the difference is between an anime and a cartoon. I shall tell you the difference! Some other time.
