Summer Is Almost Here!!! |
You know, we live in a society that has many ideas, convictions, and beliefs that conflict quite a bit. From religion, politics, and even how we raise our children. It is unbelievable. We call ourselves the United States of America. But how united are we? If I walked across my small little town and knocked on someone's door would they answer? Would they care about who was standing behind that door? I don't know. People are so different and diverse when we are so close. One people, under one governing body. But yet we find ourselves so distant. By our beliefs we are defined, right? I mean, if we strip away what we believe then can we truly call ourselves united? Not torn apart by different beliefs and convictions? Once we lose that we might as well call ourselves animals.
It is kind of funny. The media and government preach that we should accept everyone and everything. It seems that the minority in America have the loudest voice. After all, the wheels that squeak get the oil, right? If we accept everything then we open a door to nothing. "Nothing is forbidden, everything is permitted."
"Pfffft, I am a murderer, but I was BORN that way."

Oh, and don't come at me with the whole "Jesus is coming back." I want a family. I want children, I want to see myself sharing and growing with the people closest to me. Preaching doom and gloom is the last thing we should be doing. Don't scare someone into believing. I wasn't scared into believing. You should come in by grace, not by fear. I can't wait to see what God will show me, what He will reveal to me as time passes. I don't think Jesus is going to come and take everyone's earthly life away when I have to do my best to reach out to them. Jesus is the embodiment of hope. Why should we tell people otherwise?
