TheGoodnessJustGushes

Have you ever just stopped and thanked God for.....everything? Heh, I did that two times in these past four days. Probably should have done it a few million more times, but I just took a couple of minutes to just say thanks. Man, these past few days have been such a huge blessing to me. I did something that was worth more than a billion dollars. Spending time with friends and family wasn't only fun; it opened my heart and eyes. I grew closer to them and Him. Simply sitting down and talking to someone who is going through the same things as you really opens your eyes.....

I have a feeling that these last few days will be the most productive days I will ever have this year. Sad to say, but probably true. When you walk away from your daily routines and relax with your loved ones it not only brings life into perspective, but it shows you what really matters. Family, friends, and just people in general. Reaching out to them and sharing the love of the One that loves you. It definitely doesn't hurt to spend time with people that are so warm, friendly, loving, kind.....I could probably go on forever.....

Long story short: I had a life changing weekend. I will remember these short few days for the rest of my life. I can't put my finger on it, but I just had so much fun. Not only did I have too much fun, but I got even closer to my friends. It's nice to know that your relationships with others can always become stronger.

Along with everlasting benefits, I can proudly say that I didn't get sunburned during my weekend endeavors! I am very happy with my Banana Boat. Sturdy indeed....Though I did get an annoyingly painful burn on my finger. It didn't look that bad, but why did it hurt so much?!?!? Holy smokes, I thought Gollum himself was gnawing on it.

Eating, swimming, basketball, Frisbee, scavenging for wood, campfires, barbecues, laughs, board and card games, late nights, Spiritual chats, and stargazing. I can honestly say that it couldn't have been any better. Oh, well, Twinkies......Yeah....

10 brothers and sisters in Christ spending four exciting days and three glorious nights together in the great outdoors....It just seems like it all went too fast. When we started on our way home I couldn't help but feel that those four days was like a breath of fresh air. So nice, but yet so short.

Having the best camping trip of my life: Completed.

  1. it hasn't even been 24 hours since we parted and you already have the energy/mind power to write something...must be the "forever young" aka banana boat liquid you applied to your body. I'm still reeling...especially from that epic bonfire with bubbly soda. AWESOMENESS so glad we did it for the 3rd time.
