WhyDoEndingsToHappyThingsFeelSo....Sad

It's been three weeks since I left home....Man, it feels like it's been only a few days since I took off from the islands. But all things come to an end eventually. So this too shall pass.

I have to say that this was the best trip out of the three we've had to my homeland. We did so much, tried so many new things, and had so many laughs with our family. The celebration of our grandma's 90th birthday went perfectly! Except for that horrid performance by the our family, I mean, my mom and Elder Sage did fine, but the three men of our group sort of...I can't, it's too hard to type it out.

The whole event was timeless. The hotel we stayed at was very fancy like. Rich people scattered about drinking tea. Thank goodness I dressed appropriately. Without a shirt and slacks on you kind stick out like a soar thumb.

Two more days left. All there is to do is say our final goodbyes to everyone and pack all of the goodies we amassed for the last three weeks. I think we have one more super sized dinner to eat, and then it's all down hill. The trip back home is going to be intense. Two red eyes on top of arriving home in the afternoon. I hate afternoons, especially when you have to wait for nighttime so you can crash and not have jetlag. Jetlag....What a curse.

Going back to my normal way of living is going to take me a couple of days. I need to clean my system and get my mind clock reset to the right time zone. Then I have to tell my stories of the adventure, and boy do we have stories to tell. Oh, and gifts....Gifts....

We got so much gifts of money from the family. So much generosity and love. So we responded by taking the money and spending it...All. Which is normal, but it feels weird to spend so much money in such a short amount of time. I still have plenty to spend, but I don't have enough time! Doesn't matter; I got what I wanted. Just a pair of sunglasses and earphones. I think I got one t-shirt, but that's about it. The Elder Sage Siblings bought a bunch of clothes. I am not into such things. Only accessories and electronics. Maybe it's because I am homeschooled, appearances are so overrated.

Time to prepare myself for the coming trip. It's going to make me exhausted. So I guess I'll see you back on the side of the ocean with lesser tasting food.
