Fret not my Dear Readers. I will always be here for you. Until the day I get chained to marriage or chained to the Master, I am here. No level of scholastic learning shall steer my attention from this wonderful stage of intellectual minds. I have much to learn though, once I head off to college I will be learning my second language in its fullness. Some people consider it a waste, others consider it a great thing to do. But for those who believe it is a waste of time I say this!
"Just consider my learning another language like learning an instrument."
"Not the same. You should play football."
"No, no you don't understand. Me learning Japanese is like learning the Banjo."
"Banjo is better."
"Okay, now your just being biased."
~Conversation of Thought with Finkelmiere
I find this all very disturbing.
"Chained"?????? "Chained"????? dearest friend, you must find new verbage else I fear the depression of your soul... ....
ReplyDeleteNew language?!? Excellent notion.....i think there is more then just new talent learned....i think it makes bi-lingual speakers better people on the globe.....your confused, shaking your head....
Let me try to clarify my ramblings....
If you only know one language, you essentially know 1 culture. But learn another language, and you are invited into another world!!! It enlarges your mind .....so go for it!!
The mother of your origins would like to fix one word in the quote. The word is not "steal" my boy; the words should be "win the employer's clients over". All's fair in the world of business. You serve them well, take care of them and they'll prefer you over another. :D
ReplyDeleteme and Finkelmiere would get along well, i thinks
