Bilingual(Is)Hip

If my Dear Readers didn't know I shall inform your ignorant minds. I am in the early stages of learning my second language, Japanese. It's a lot of fun, and it opens my mind to an entirely different culture. Why am I learning Japanese? Because I watch/play Japanese media. Pretty simple. But learning this new language isn't a cake walk. It is probably one of the hardest languages for an English speaker to learn. I wont go into too much detail, but one of the biggest points is probably that the Japanese language doesn't use the same alphabet as the English language....which causes some difficulties.

Fret not my Dear Readers. I will always be here for you. Until the day I get chained to marriage or chained to the Master, I am here. No level of scholastic learning shall steer my attention from this wonderful stage of intellectual minds. I have much to learn though, once I head off to college I will be learning my second language in its fullness. Some people consider it a waste, others consider it a great thing to do. But for those who believe it is a waste of time I say this!

"Just consider my learning another language like learning an instrument."

"Not the same. You should play football."

"No, no you don't understand. Me learning Japanese is like learning the Banjo."

"Banjo is better."

"Okay, now your just being biased."
